I just bought a new camera, and I'm totaly pumped! It's a Nikon D80 SLR with a great lens. My old point and shoot just wasn't cutting it, so I'll just use it at parties etc.
I'm so excited, I want to get out asap and take a million pictures! It's pretty complicated, so I'm going to read the manual and practice taking pics of my cats before I venture out in a couple days.
Anyway, expect a steady stream of pics from me. I look forward to your comments and sugestions for improvements. My biggest challenge will be with the photo editing since I have no idea how to do it! Wish me luck!

Well, here it is, Saturday night and I'm at home alone on my computer. I truly am the nerdiest guy I know! At least I have the best classic rock band ever on my tv and surround sound system at a really high volume!

Actually, I don't mind spending time by myself. I'm cooking right now, which I love, and having a glass of wine, which I also love. So, I guess it's not bad at all! I get to talk to lots of cool people on dA, and look at lots of great art. Things could be a lot worse!

So anyway, I've been on dA for a few weeks now and I love it! I was a facebook finatic for a while, but it stopped working for some reason a few weeks ago. Since then, I've been here and loving it! In retrosprect, facebook seems so juvenile! Actually, I plan to get set up again because I did keep in touch with a bunch of people through it, so I want it back. The thing I like about dA is that there is so much great art on it, I can't keep up! Plus the people I meet here are so much more interesting. I know my pics are very amature right now, but I hope to get better with time and some help from the great people on here!

Well, here in lovely Barrie, Ontario, Canada, the snow is mostly gone. Spring is in the air. I can go outside with a hoodie on instead of my Roots down filled parka! I'm so looking forward to being able to sit on my balcony and read; have a scotch and a cigar, and enjoy the warm weather. I'm sooo behind on my reading, I must have more than a dozen books waiting to be read. I always ask for books for Christmas and b-days, and I just get behind. Oh well, I'll get to them this summer.

After four years as a manager at Hooters, I'm done. I loved my time there, it was a lot of fun, but it's time to move on. It's not that I don't like it any more, the owner is a real prick and I'm tired of being treated like @#$%! I have several prospects on the go, so I'm not worried about work. I have money set aside for this type of thing, so I'm taking my time to find another great job. I refuse to take the first crappy job that comes around! I miss the girls already! Actually, I'm friends with lots of them, so I'll see them all the time. I'm planning a party sometime soon, so everybody can get together and have some fun.

Now that I'm done Hooters, I can do some real photo shoots with some of the girls. I was always hesitant because I was their boss and there was a conflict of interest. There are so many beautiful, young women there, it's crazy! Fortunatly they all like me beause I was a good and fair boss. Several of them are already models, so maybe they can teach me! In my gallery, there are pics of Donna; she works with other photographers, so maybe she will work for me since we are friends too.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome on dA! I really appreciate it! I welcome comments on my pics; try not to be too mean though, I might cry!
